Proximity to the families concerned
Manuela Stier, founder and managing director
manuela Stier founded the charitable support association for children with rare diseases in 2014. The association's current success is based on the fact that she is very close to the families affected and therefore knows their needs. Together with her fantastic team, she consistently implements projects that must bring lasting benefits to the families affected. As a branding and communications expert, she anchored the "Förderverein für Kinder mit seltenen Krankheiten" brand throughout Switzerland to give the affected families a face and a mouthpiece. the first KMSK knowledge book "Rare Diseases" was published in 2018 and the KMSK team is currently working on the sixth KMSK knowledge book "Rare Diseases - Case Management and Digitalization Relieve Parents" together with affected families and specialists. In November 2022, after two years of development, the first KMSK knowledge platform for (newly) affected families went online in German, French, Italian and English.
in 2022, Manuela Stier won the Viktor Award as the most outstanding personality in Swiss healthcare.
"Without the support of the affected families, the great team, the competent board and advisory board, the volunteers and the patrons, we would never have been able to achieve all this! Thank you very much!"
